What's the difference between women's waist sizes in the US and the UK?
Q. I'm writing a paper about societal impacts on women's self-view, and I found a poll on waist sizes but it uses the UK women's pant waist system. I tried Google and didn't find any helpful information. What is the difference between the US and UK women's pant waist difference? A chart or graph would be just as helpful as an explanation.

A. thats silly. Every woman is different. The majority in the US have bigger waists though.

What is the best community service to do concerning women's issues?
Q. I am in charge of putting together a community service event during women's week at a college. I really want it to be something meaningful, so that the participants really are glad that they helped, and I also want it to be something that really benefits people. I was thinking of going to a local women's shelter to give them a spa night kind of thing where we give them manicures and watch movies with them and stuff. But do you think that will be a big enough impact on them? I was also thinking of doing some sort of activity to raise money to donate to the Dove campaign for real beauty or some other good cause for women and young girls. A. Partner with your local Girl Scout council! They will have program ideas for girls who really need contact with adult women - no matter what their ages. Host a college visit and/or after-school program for at-risk girls - help them understand their opportunities for higher education. Contact the Director of Membership/Marketing at the council nearest you - they would be so grateful for your help. Girl Scouts has tons of safety precautions in place, so your liability would be limited and you know you would be reaching the girls who need it most. What should I do for women's studies my local action project?
Q. I'm in college and I'm taking a women's studies class. We have to do a local action project. The paper for it is due next week. Basically, I have to do something small for any organization that aids women and the problems they face. I've been looking for something to do, besides writing a nasty letter to someone (which is not something I want to do). Any ideas? Any organizations that I can do something small with that won't take much time to do?

A. Go and interview the Director of your local Women's Shelter. Ask a series of questions (you can even do it via email or phone) and turn it into an essay/paper Interviews are fun and easy and people like to give them because it makes them feel valued and you would get great feedback from course tutors, I'm sure.
