Sunglasses or sun glasses are a form of protective eyewear that usually enclose or protect the eye pupil in order to prevent strong light, ultraviolet (UV) rays, and increasingly, blue light ("blue blocking") from penetrating. They can sometimes also function as a visual aid, as variously termed spectacles or glasses exist which feature lenses that are colored, polarized or darkened. In the early 20th century they were also known as sun cheaters (cheaters being an American slang term for glasses). Many people find direct sunlight too bright for comfort. During outdoor activities, the human eye can receive more light than usual. Healthcare professionals recommend eye protection whenever outside to protect the eyes from ultraviolet radiation and blue light, which can cause several serious eye problems. Sunglasses have long been associated with celebrities and film actors primarily from a desire to hide or mask their identity. Since the 1940s sunglasses have been popular as a fashion accessory, especially on the beach. HistoryFrom Wikipedia under the

Minimize the curves and add definition with soft, angular, rectangular styles or double brow. styles. Higher temples will create a longer profile. I was looking for sunglasses and I wanted to know what brand sunglasses pilots use? The reason I ask is because they would most likely use the best stuff since they are always in the sky. Ii just saw Top Gun on tv and was wondering what sunglasses they wore in it. The reason I asked was because I thought that they would need something to protect their eyes with as their job depends on the health of their eyes. I thought pilots would know what is good. However REAL Air Force pilots have NO preference for sun glasses, most don't wear them at all. (And I'm fairly sure they are strictly forbiden to wear them durring flight regardless of rank, except for medical purposes after they get their wings) And civilian pilots can wear any kind of glasses that feel comfortable for them, it really does not matter too much. I think these: are what you are looking for. And supposedly the sterotype for pilots.
