Dear friend, first of all WAP is not stands for Wireless Access Point, Just say access point, so APs function is just like LAN switch, to connect different network machines with each other. And it doesn't use WiFi or bluetooth, its base on radio signals with 2.4 ghz and now in 5 ghz. WiFi is different Wireless Technology.
