From Google News Search: "Outdoors" Can I successfully paint on canvas outdoors in the winter? Q. I don't have a room that I can have enough ventilation to do art, so I was wondering if I could use oil / acrylic paints on stretch canvases outdoors in the winter? How warm does it need to be before I can take my painting outside? ( I work with Daler-Rowney acrylic, and Winsor Newton oils) Does temperature cause paintings to crack? How should I go about painting, since I currently do not have a indoor room to work in? Thanks! The average temperature here is low 50s F. Asked by hoover - Fri Feb 29 20:21:24 2008 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments A. wrap up warm & wear a type of glove that inhibits hand/finger movement as little as possible. it will be healthier, due to any fumes, to work outside. some people take a photo of scene, etc in cold temperatures, so they can work from that when they get home to warmer temperature. goodluck. it wd be interesting to hear how u get on. Beth-Anne is a photographer taking pictures outdoors during the evening. She knows that the later it is when she takes a picture, the longer the shutter has to stay open to get enough light for the picture. Or rather asking her homework questions on here. Answered by Bob - Tue Jul 20 11:37:32 2010 Letting a rescue outdoors for the first time?
Q. I have a 3 year old cat who we have recently given a home to. We have kept her indoors for 4 weeks as instructed but now she is ready to go outdoors. What is the best way to let her out but make sure she comes back and not get lost? Should I buy a harness for her and walk her round the garden until she gets used to it, or just let her out? Asked by Anri86 - Thu Sep 20 13:03:30 2007 - - 11 Answers - 0 Comments A. Cats are outdoor animals so you should be encouraged to let it outside. Don't try the harness though. Do what previous answers have reccomended by opening a door (etc) just before feeding time and let her find her own way out. Try and do something in the garden at the same time, so she knows you are there. You might want to try just letting her out for short periods to begin with. The hardest thing for me with our 3 rescue cats was relaxing and not worrying every time they went out of sight! But cats are clever and will generally be fine.
