Bottled water is drinking water packaged in (generally) plastic containers, regulated by national and local agencies. The dominant form is water packaged in new Polyethylene terephthalate bottles and sold retail. Another form is water that comes in larger high-density polyethylene plastic jugs, used with water coolers.
