What are some good ideas for fundraising in-school for charity?
Q. I am the President of the Sophmore class of Lake Region Union High School, in Northern Vermont. I've been approved to lead a fundraising effort for charity with my class. The rest of the class representitives have agreed we should do something with an ecological charity like the Arbor Day Foundation. We'd prefer it to be a low, or no cost fundraiser. Does anyone have some ideas?

A. I assume you all want to eat during the day. How about nobody buying junk food or pre-packed food. Bring something from home that you (or a well-meaning relative) have prepared. If it is a nice day you could have a big picnic and share with your class. The money you save by not buying junk food could be given to charity. Maybe this idea is not perfect but you could expand on it. Over to you.

Does anyone have good fundraising ideas?
Q. I am the co-president of a great club in my high school called "Smile Train", which is an extension of the organization itself. I was just looking for ideas, because our club, though growing larger slowly, is still small and sometimes the senior members (all seven or eight of us) have a hard time thinking of fundraising ideas for our little club. Most of the proceeds have to go to the organization (okay, all of them- I still have to check up on that) and we just really want to make a big difference on the school community and the town we live in. Thanks for any suggestions!

YES! bowling for smiles! ahahaha...and maybe some sick show we could hold where all of us just smile the entire time...yeah that would be pretty cool...people would def pay to see that...we could just be like...you wanna see more of these amazing smiles??? give us money! i am so smart actually, seriously we should have competition type of thing where people sign up to play and some people pay to watch like a tournament to benefit the club...like wiffleball or tennis or...badminton or something everyone likes... or we could just have an all-asian cookoff duel of the century :P

I need simple fundraising ideas for a local youth group.?
Q. We are a relitively small town of only 50 thousand or so. Im looking for fun and easy fundraising ideas for a youth group. We dont really want to sell any products like cookies, chocolate or magazine subscriptions tho. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

A. Car Wash -$5 a ticket and you can either presell the tickets or people can just show up. Have like four stations wiht kids and adults working. Then just have the car pull up to the station. Get the car wet with an hose, use sponges to wash it with soap, hose it off. Yard Sale -Have kids and adults bring in their stuff and set up a yard sale. Talent Show -Youth group members and communtiy kids could participate, awards could be given out to the top three. Ask for a donation at the door. Can and Bottle Drive -Go around town door to door asking for cans and bottles Chicken barbecue Pancake Breakfast -Have the adults cook the pancakes, sausage, etc. and then have the kids serve the food, juice, and coffee.
