Can a marine biologist specializing in sharks thrive in Australia?
Q. How can I become a marine biologist in Australia, and a successful one specializing in sharks? Is there even a mere chance of me being successful?! Thanks.

A. In order to get into Australia in the first place, number one requirement will be a recognised qualification (Degree etc) in marine biology followed by a period (2yrs or so) of verifiable work in that field. Alternatively, you could ( apply to) enrol in an Australian University as an international student and do your degree here. This would probably enable you to gain employment here in your chosen field if indeed your chosen field actually exists in the Australian jobs market.. Your success or otherwise will depend on your own personal qualities and attributes. What are the chances of dieng as marine infantry?
Q. I always see people complaining about how their child died the first week he was in Iraq. I also see people saying they've been in marine infantry for 10+ years. Is it a matter of luck, or are some people just better at staying alive in a warzone than others? What's my life expectancy if I go marine infantry. I'm contemplating becoming a machine gunner.

A. Its matter of luck ...IED can hit you in the first day of combat or the last day no difference..or simply you can die in non-hostile vehicle accident...but generally its very low

What would happen to a marine who is charged with domestic violence?
Q. destruction of property, false imprisonment, menacing and has already been demoted to private for violence and restricted twice for assault on higher ranks? My ex has committed these crimes against me and i am in the process of filing charges. Im afraid that the marine corps will just get it dismissed and a lesser charge and i will not get the justice i deserve. currently i am away from him, i am well aware of marines killing their spouses. i will be filing the charges in civilian court.

A. The Marine Corps is very very serious about domestic abuse. Should a Marine be convicted, either felony or misdemeanor in any court, Federal, State, County, or Military, he will immediately be required to fill out a DD-218, (I think that's the form), which will bar him from access to firearms, either personal or Marine Corps issue. At this point he will inevitably be forced out of the Marines through an Administrative Separation because a Marine who can't use a weapon is of no use to the Corps. The only exception to this is if he or she is within 2 years of retirement, (ie 18+ years of service), in which case the Marine will be given essentially a desk job until he or she retires, all the while being barred ANY access to firearms. … [cont.]
