A tray is a shallow platform designed for carrying things. It is larger than a salver, a diminutive version commonly used for lighter and smaller servings, and it can be fashioned from numerous materials, including silver, brass, sheet iron, wood, melamine, and Papier-mâché. Some examples have raised galleries, handles, and short feet for support.

Trays are flat, but with raised edges to stop things from sliding off of them. They are made in a range of shapes but are commonly found in oval or rectangular forms, sometimes with cutout or attached handles with which to carry them.

How long does the impression tray stay in when fitting for a crown?
Q. This is probably the 3rd question I have asked in relation to the appt I have tomorrow for an impression at the dentist because I am terrified, and because I gag so easily. I want to be able to count down the time until the tray can come out. It may help me. For how long will it stay in my mouth? Thanks!

A. 2 to 3 mins if you are very still. It shouldn't be too bad, but the impression material feels weird. It should not gag you b/c it fits right down over the teeth and doesn't go straight back in the mouth. Ask them to put the suction in if they can so that you won't gag on your saliva, that's typically what triggers your gag reflex during impressions. There's nothing to be afraid of, there is no pain whatsoever during impressions and it is very quick.

How can I remove a program's system tray icon without qutting the program itself?
Q. I would like to run a program quietly in the background, without anyone nosing into the tray icons to see what programs I am running. Is there a way to get rid of the system tray and taskbar icons while keeping the program running?
Asked by xsamnorrx - Sun May 11 22:10:44 2008 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Unless you have the source code of the program, you can't really do that. You can hite the taskbar, which hides the system tray too, but the user usually has, at most, the choice of taskbar or system tray when the program is minimized. Most programs don't give you a choice of "don't show anything at all".
